Input files location?

Apr 19, 2010 at 5:06 PM

Hi,

Firstly: great app

I use Windows 7 and although I use Vob2Mkv as administrator,
it seems the app can only read VOB-files from HDDs and not from Optical or Virtual Optical drives.

Am I doing something wrong? Or is this a bug?

Many thanks in advance for answering.

The app doesn't decrypt DVDs. It assumes that the DVDs have already been decrypted.

If you have a DVD that is already decrypted, and it should be possible to read from optical media.

Note that the app assumes the VOB files contain only a single dvd title, with one video track and one audio track. This requirement will be relaxed in a future release (I have tenatively concluded that I must write another filter to effect this). For now, you need a separate tool to extract the dvd title #1 from the original rip, then you can use vob2mkv to make an mkv file. See the README.TXT file for more info.
